About Us

Art Walk for Kids/Adults is an outreach program that began in January 2000 with the mission of focusing on benefiting special needs, developmentally disabled, at risk, terminally ill youth and adults in their positive environments through a specialized
curriculum of art education and vocational education. Art Walk for Kids also works with programs for the Hope School District
helping kid's to positively self express creating murals for their school walls through the "Art of Giving", thus creating pride of ownership and a great sense of self worth.

Kerrie Kilpatrick-Weinberg is the Artistic Director of Art Walk for Kids/Adults. Kerrie developed the original Art Walk Curriculum as a step-by-step series of creative and self-expressive art classes. Kerrie shares her skills as a artist and design specialist. Her early experience includes work as a Theater and Set Designer with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. She received her Bachelor of Art with honors in Theatre/Set Design, and Art History from the Central School of Art and Design in London, England. As a Set Designer Kerrie collaborated with at risk youth through the Lyric Theatre in London thus sowing the seeds for Art Walk in Santa Barbara.

Kerrie's passion for helping others began with her own family experience. Her younger brother, Nigel, was autistic. His passing inspired Kerrie to continue sharing her gifts and love through the Art Walk experience.

ART WALK FOR KIDS/ADULTS™ is endorsed and approved by the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission.
